Through its consistent effort and scaled partnerships, Vibha has been able to make a significant impact in the lives of almost 2 million children and thousands of teachers. Vibha aims for its models to be gradually adopted by the state governments in order to reach a greater population. Here are examples of our impact:

How

Leap For Word (LFW)

Aims to enhance English Literacy for children in underserved communities in India
Delivered through local government school teachers by training them to teach effective English classes leveraging digital as well as physical platforms
Works in more than 12,000 schools in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan
17,000 teachers are teaching using LFW techniques
5,00,000 students impacted

Impact: Next 3 to 5 Years

Goal: Increase outreach to 1.5 Million teachers, thereby impacting 5 Million Children across 10 states.

Sikshana

Aims to evolve sustainable and replicable models for an effective and decentralised (avoid bureaucracy taking local decisions) Government education systems.
Synergizes with the government at all levels
Works in more than 50,000 schools in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Telengana
Outreach of more than 3 million students

Impact: Next 3 to 5 Years

Goal: Additional 40,000 schools over the next 3 to 5 years
Goal: Outreach to additional 2.4 million students.

How – Three New Initiatives

Akshara

Aims to bring about Numerical literacy using a low-cost sustainable model.
Current outreach: Widely deployed in Karnataka; Pilot in two districts of Odisha
Works in more than 48000 schools, total outreach of more than 51,300 teachers, impacting more than 1.7 million students
Envisions being use in across Odisha, in more than 46,000 schools, outreach of 47,000 teachers, impacting more than 3 million students in primary schools.

Language Learning Foundation

Aims to develop and implement a variety of professional development opportunities for teachers, teacher education and stakeholders in the area of early grade student learning with a specific focus on language and literacy.
Current out reach : Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP
Works in 2600 schools, total outreach of 4090 govt. teachers, impacting more than 90,600 students
Envision model to be absorbed by Govt. in 11 states in 7000 schools increasing outreach to 10,000 Primary Govt. schoolteachers, impacting 300,000 children for grade 1 & grade 2.

Eklavya

Aims to support and enable teaching and learning methodologies through support centers for children below average (lower 30% more localized remedial education, to bring them to mainstream) to enhance their learning levels.
Designed for 2-3 years with a vision of gradual handover of the government
