Our Focus

We are a volunteer-driven social catalyst that seeds, grows and scales solutions to systemic problems affecting children

Children make up more than 1/4th of India’s population; less than half go to school and almost 50% are malnourished. Almost 99 million school going age children have dropped out and over 33 million of them are engaged in child labor.

We cannot let the fate of the children remain mere statistics. Dealing with the systemic issues behind these numbers takes concerted efforts focused on building solutions that are scalable, sustainable and replicable.

There is a crying need to bring together various entities working on the ground, under one mutual effort.  Vibha, we believe, fits the role of the collaborator perfectly; bringing all stakeholders together for the sake of our children.

We act as a catalyst, partnering with social change-makers like entrepreneurs, donors, government agencies, corporate companies or volunteers; we call them our ‘Partners for Change’. Together, we work out viable solutions for addressing the various problems afflicting the lives of the children less fortunate.

Our Focus Areas

Meaningful Education

Vibha strongly advocates access to education for all children, and opportunities to improve the general quality of their life. Working in collaboration with governments, communities, parents, teachers, and volunteers, we focus on resourceful interaction to address the gaps in the education system.

Since 1991, we have strived to develop far-reaching, low-cost programs that we have implemented with the help of our volunteers and social partners in various parts of India. These projects, working effectively, have furthered our cause of providing meaningful education to children of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds.

Job Readiness

Vibha’s programs for job readiness aim to support children from the economically backward sections in finding gainful employment. We have deployed funds to impart vocational and skills training with an aim to provide means of livelihood, in addition to education.

Providing support to children through practical skills enhancement can better their chances of getting suitable jobs.

Rehabilitation of Vulnerable Children

We work in partnership with organisations that are involved in taking children out from exploitative circumstances and reinstating their lives through educational programs and associated rehabilitation.

Vibha also facilitates counselling and rehabilitation of street children and children of commercial sex workers. Our projects work with children in the age group of 3 to 14 years along with their families, pulling them out of unfavorable conditions and restoring the joys of childhood.
