Children make up more than 1/4th of India’s population; less than half go to school and almost 50% are malnourished. Almost 99 million school going age children have dropped out and over 33 million of them are engaged in child labor.
We cannot let the fate of the children remain mere statistics. Dealing with the systemic issues behind these numbers takes concerted efforts focused on building solutions that are scalable, sustainable and replicable.
There is a crying need to bring together various entities working on the ground, under one mutual effort. Vibha, we believe, fits the role of the collaborator perfectly; bringing all stakeholders together for the sake of our children.
We act as a catalyst, partnering with social change-makers like entrepreneurs, donors, government agencies, corporate companies or volunteers; we call them our ‘Partners for Change’. Together, we work out viable solutions for addressing the various problems afflicting the lives of the children less fortunate.
Vibha strongly advocates access to education for all children, and opportunities to improve the general quality of their life. Working in collaboration with governments, communities, parents, teachers, and volunteers, we focus on resourceful interaction to address the gaps in the education system.
Since 1991, we have strived to develop far-reaching, low-cost programs that we have implemented with the help of our volunteers and social partners in various parts of India. These projects, working effectively, have furthered our cause of providing meaningful education to children of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds.
