Vibha shifts focus to long term goals in Covid relief
Vibha is slowly shifting it`s focus to long term goals in Covid relief and one of them is vaccination drives. Vibha`s partner, SEA was founded in 2006 by Community development workers and enthusiastic young people from the fishing hamlets around Mamallapuram (Tamil Nadu). Since then, the team has been working tirelessly for betterment of the local fishermen, slum dwellers and the Dalit communities around the area.
Most of the villages where SEA operates are very remote, and do not get covered in the state organized vaccination campaigns. Understanding the need, the SEA team started collaborating with the government medical officers to help in conducting vaccination camps so that more and more people could be benefitted.
The Vibha team has approved Rs. 4,27,800/- which would support the organization of 40 vaccination camps. These camps will benefit around 8000 adults and 400 pregnant women over a period of 4 months.

Youth Raises Funds For COVID Relief
Amidst of the pandemic, when the entire nation has come together in support for those afflicted by COVID, 14-year old, Ayesha Jacob, from Mumbai, also came forward this summer and planned to utilize her hobby of baking to raise funds for underprivileged families to survive through this difficult time.She not only served 100 cupcakes to the frontline staff at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, but she also raised 20,000 rupees, which she intends to donate to 30 underprivileged families with children who go to government schools with Vibha’s help.
