Thanks to the volunteer work of a community member, Vibha receives $50,000 grant
Vibha has been recently awarded a $50,000 Love Takes Action Award from the New York Life Foundation. The grant will support Vibha’s commitment to every child gaining quality public education in the U.S. and India by enabling scalable solutions to drive excellence in the quality of public education.
“We are grateful for the New York Life Foundation’s investment in our organization and their vision of encouraging community members to transform their love into action, especially in the midst of a pandemic. This grant will change the lives of many underprivileged children and their families for the better,” said Durgesh Das, CEO Vibha. “We thank Sunita Wadhwani, corporate vice president, New York Life for recognizing Parvinder Singh Arora for his volunteer work in the community during COVID-19.”
Mr. Parvinder Singh Arora was one of the thirty-five community members from across the nation honored for demonstrating exceptional community service in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As recognition for his contributions to the community, he selected Vibha to receive $50,000 general support grant from the New York Life Foundation.

Established in 1991, Vibha is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization with around 2200 volunteers spread across the USA. The combination of Vibha’s social venture catalyst framework with its mission of empowering social entrepreneurs to create a positive impact for underprivileged children has enabled around 300 organizations, enriching lives of over 2 million children with an investment of close to $18 million.
